The airport is located on the island Frösön, 10 minutes from the center of Östersund and 40 minutes from Åre and is Sweden’s eighth largest with more than 530,000 passengers (2017) and the seventh largest run by Swedavia.
Daily connections are available from Arlanda (SAS), Bromma (BRA) and Umeå (Direktflyg). During the winter season (2018/19) there are also connections with Malmö (SAS), Gothenburg (SAS), London (easyJet), Copenhagen (easyJet) and Bristol (easyJet). In addition, there are a number of charter destinations.
